I'm Back!
Well, I'm back! It has been exactly four years since I last posted on this blog. So what brought me here today? This week at church, we are engaging the spiritual practice of stewardship. One of the practice prompts I read tonight was to ask God, "Where might I need to be a better steward?" And right away, "words" came to mind for me. And so I thought, how am I stewarding my words? And I felt a nudge to write. So here I am, writing. There are a lot of things I could write, and over time I will write. But today I want to focus on words. Words are powerful. Words can persuade, they can convince. They can be true, they can be false. They have impact. They can impact elections and opinions and beliefs. Words can be ugly. They can create division. They can lead to chaos and fighting and war. And words can be beautiful too. They can inspire change. They can stir up hope. They can express love and emotion and grace. Words can be kind and thoughtful and respectful.
